Looking to make new friends? Just bored and want to do something new? Join one of our SocialBox run and verified hangout events!
SocialBox events are public events led by a verified volunteer who makes sure the hangout runs smoothly and everyone gets to have a good time. They’re informal social meetups that run weekly/biweekly and are aimed at creating a group of friends that meet consistently.
One in three Australians report feeling disconnected socially, and the amount of people who report that they ‘never meet socially’ has doubled since the pandemic.
It’s no secret that loneliness is becoming more of a prevalent, worldwide issue with each passing day. More people have fewer friends. More friend circles have fewer hangouts. More human beings enjoy fewer human interactions. Whether this is the fault of climbing cost-of-living pressures which drain our time, money, and energy, or our increasing dependence on technology for social interactions, it’s clear that we need something that makes it easier to have that essential face-to-face time.
Our goal with SocialBox is to create tools, communities, and events that make it easier to find friends and maintain your relationship with them. We’ll create discounts for hangouts, help you schedule and join events, or do whatever it takes to make sure your social life thrives so you never have to feel lonely again.
